Betty Gasch, RN, BSN, CCRN
COO and President
Betty
joined MSP in 1998 as a partner and its largest shareholder, transforming
the company to a women-owned, small business. She is now the Chief Operating Officer of the company and brings 30 years of varied
nursing insight and market perspective to Medical Strategic Planning, which is
reflected in MSP articles and research activities. Her career
spans nursing at university (University of Michigan Hospital) critical
care settings, community hospital ICUs (Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview,
IL), continuing education and staff development capacities (Northwest
Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL) and home healthcare nursing
and program creation (VNA of Central Jersey). Betty is a publisher of
MSP Industry Alert™ and also a Contributing Writer to the BBI Newsletter , and her articles have also appeared in Medical Device Daily, Assisted Living, the BBT Newsletter and other
American Health Consulting (Thomson) newsletters.
Prior to becoming
President of MSP, Betty worked at the VNA of Central Jersey as a nursing
case manager and Medicare Certified provider of post-hospital care in
central New Jersey. She helped establish an assisted living program for
the VNA. Betty has worked as a nurse in ICU and also as an educator in
hospital nursing, during which time she was CCRN certified.
Betty is the author of HEART-to-heart,
a Christian self-help book for those seeking healing from abuse and other
issues. It is currently available in English and also now available in
Russian. She co-authored several of the company market reports, developed
Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring and other nursing seminar materials, and
has made educational training presentations to nurses on invasive hemodynamic
monitoring and other topics. Betty has a Bachelor of Science degree in
Nursing from the University of Michigan - Summa Cum Laude, and has attended
numerous medical and nursing conventions.
